Roger returns to Estée Lauder Online as Vice President, General Merchandise Manager as of 07/01/07. Most recently, he was the Vice President and General Manager for Gloss.

Prior to returning to Gloss, Roger was Vice President of Estee Lauder Companies Online division. He led the management of ELC Onlines 3-channel development of the online businesses for Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Estee Lauder, M.A.C, Origins, Prescriptives and Stila. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Merchandising and Brand Planning for ELC Online. He joined ELC Online in June 2001.

Roger was one of the original employees of Gloss, responsible for developing the business structure and revenue reporting systems, as well as Brand Planning for over 100 brands offered at the original Gloss site. He joined Gloss in July 1999.

In addition, Roger brings 14 years of retail and brand management experience from Walt Disney World Attractions Merchandise, Bath and Body Works, and The Broadway Department Stores in California.

He graduated from the University of California in Berkeley with a BA in Economics.

Martin Hardee (SW)

Martin Hardee is Director of Customer Experience for Cisco web sites, and leads cross-company teams dedicated to providing rich and immersive online experiences across Cisco’s sites. Previously, Martin oversaw design and online user experience at Sun Microsystems, including sun.com, java.com, and Sun’s popular Java developer sites. Martin has been involved with online projects for more than 20 years, including extensive early work on Sun’s web designs with web pioneer Jakob Nielsen.

Martin’s previous industry background is in software development, instructional design and (in a past life) broadcast journalism, including stints with NPR and commercial radio news.

Mark Carpenter is the General Manager of the American Institute of Architect’s new online initiative called Soloso. In this role, Mark provides leadership and strategic direction for the institute’s online knowledge based, social networking product. As General Manager, Mark is responsible for developing and executing business, marketing and content strategies to successfully deliver the Soloso product to market. Before coming to AIA, Mark was the strategic visionary and founder of digital strategy at AARP – the nation’s largest membership organization representing the needs of those 50 and over.

Kimarie Matthews manages the customer research practice, including loyalty and voice of the customer programs for Wells Fargo’s Internet Services Group. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in March 2006, Kimarie worked in a combination of online financial services and retail firms: Bank of America, WeddingChannel.com, InsWeb.com and Andersen Consulting’s financial services practice (now Accenture). Kimarie earned a B.A. in political science from Stanford University and currently lives in Burlingame, CA with her husband and 2 sons.

Cyndie Beckwith joined CSAA in 2002, bringing with her more than 16 years of proven customer marketing and customer management experience to her role as Vice President, Customer Experience for CSAA. At CSAA, Cyndie is responsible for managing all aspects of customer marketing for the insurance, membership and travel divisions, user experience and brand management. She is a key member of the company’s operational leadership team, bringing the Voice of the Customer to strategic and operational decisions.

Prior to CSAA, Cyndie most was Vice President at E.piphany where she led the organization’s worldwide CRM practice. Cyndie also served more than 12 years at Epsilon where she was a senior leader in the retail and telecommunications practices.

Carolyn Jones is Vice President of Human Resources for W Hotels Worldwide, a collection of luxury design hotels that has established itself as a global lifestyle authority.

Since the launch of the W brand in 1998, 20 W properties have opened up in major cities around the world – from New York to San Diego to Sydney – with a single philosophy of style and substance in mind. In her role, Jones oversees the brand’s most valuable resources – its talent. During her 10-year tenure at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, W’s parent company, Jones has held a number of senior-level offices including Regional Director of Human Resources, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide based in San Diego (January 2003 – May 2004); Area Director of Human Resources, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide based in San Francisco (February 2001 – January 2003) and Director of Human Resources, Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco (October 1996 – February 2001).

In 2000, she was the recipient of the Chairman’s Award, given by Starwood Hotels for emulating company values and leading company impact.

Before joining Starwood, Jones spent 10 years in operations and human resources for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, where she worked as a generalist and trained leadership teams internationally.

Canadian-born Jones earned a degree in Hotel Management from Ryerson University in Toronto and has taught HR management courses at Vancouver Community College. She resides in New York City.

Bill Swislow (SW and A2009)

In his role of senior vice president for product, William Swislow attracts consumers to cars.com through his leadership of the website’s design, functionality and original editorial content. He has guided the site’s development since its inception in 1997 while recently adding oversight of product development for the business’ next biggest customer group, automotive dealers.

Before joining cars.com, Swislow held several roles within the Chicago Tribune, including interactive marketplaces editor. During his tenure, Swislow managed the launch of the company’s first editorial website. Prior to his time with Tribune, he served as managing editor of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Quill Magazine and of four alternative weeklies in New England. Swislow also spent two years as an editor at Dow Jones News Service.

Swislow received his bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. In addition to his role at cars.com, he operates the cultural website interestingideas.com.
